9,000 BTU Mini Splits

The 9,000 BTU mini split is the smallest system we carry, rated 9,000 to 9,100 BTU. It suits a bedroom, home office, nursery, or small den of roughly 350–450 sq ft. These are heat pumps, so one system cools in summer and heats in winter, and several add WiFi app control. It is the size most often paired with a 115V circuit.

Voltage note: 9k units come in 115V and 208-230V. A 115V unit still usually needs a dedicated circuit, not a shared bedroom outlet; a 208-230V unit needs a two-pole breaker and a disconnect. For high ceilings, a west-facing window wall, or Florida humidity, aim for the top of the range or step up to a 12,000 BTU mini split. The Sizing Guide has the adjustments.
